(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's and women's swim teams both turned in outstanding efforts on Saturday, sweeping Franklin & Marshall. The Red Devil men posted a score of 109-79, while the women were victorious, 112-93.
First-year Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) led the way with a pair of wins on the afternoon. She swam the lead leg of the winning 400 medley relay, posting a time of 4:10.72 to open the meet. She added a win in the 200 backstroke (2:12.07) and placed second in the 50 freestyle (25.50).
Junior Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J./Madison) won the 200 butterfly (2:15.20) and placed second in both the 1000 and 500 yard freestyle events. She clocked times of 10:50.78 and 5:18.69, respectively.
Senior Carson Gannon (Morristown, N.J./Morristown Beard) anchored the medley relay and placed third in the 500 free (5:20.63) and the 200 free with a time of 2:00.38.
Sophomore Caitlin Klockner (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional) won the 200 freestyle (1:58.79) and led-off the winning free relay (3:46.42). She placed second in the 100 freestyle, clocking a time of 54.69.
First-years Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) and Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) swam the middle legs of the medley relay. Teller added a win in the 200 breaststroke (2:34.95) and touched the wall second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:16.34. Leary also won with the free relay and placed third in the 100 freestyle (57.21).
Senior Natalie LeBlanc (Westport, Conn./Staples) placed third in both the 200 individual medley (2:17.73) and the 200 backstroke (2:17.04). Classmate Kayla Haskins (Mars, Pa./Pine Richland) was second on the breaststroke (2:38.93) and first-year Lindsay Morton (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional) tallied second place points in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:16.57.
Katie Nirenberg (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) and Johanna Flemming (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) swam the last two legs of the free relay.
The Red Devils improve to 9-2 on the season and 4-1 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to face Gettysburg College on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.
