(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's basketball team suffered a 68-34 loss at Muhlenberg College on Tuesday night.
The Red Devil struggled offensively in the first half as the Mules opened a 37-13 advantage at the break. The Mules jumped out to a 14-0 start before first-year Jennifer Smith (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) put the Devils on the board at the 14:30 mark.
Muhlenberg remained in control, building on the lead in the second half. The Red Devils produced more on the offensive end in the second half but never really found a rhythm.
First-year Erica Buls (New Market, Md./Oakdale) led the Red Devils with nine points and five rebounds on the night. She went 5-for-6 from the free throw line and added three steals. Smith finished with seven points, three rebounds and a pair of steals.
First-year Helen Roberts (Oakton, Va./Oakton) tallied six points and four rebounds while junior Sarah Phillips (West Amwell, N.J./South Hunterdon) grabbed six rebounds.
Abby Stenger led Muhlenberg (15-9, 11-6) with 12 points and three assists while Erin Laney reached double-figures with 10 points to go with six rebounds and three steals.
The Red Devils (5-18, 1-16) return home for the season finale on Saturday, hosting Franklin & Marshall at 2:00 pm.
