(New London, Conn.) – The #22-ranked Dickinson men's squash team opened a three-day road trip with an impressive 9-0 win at #29-Connecticut College on Thursday.
Sophomores Abdelrahman Elsergany (Cairo, Egypt/Kent School, Conn.) and Hal Holappa (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) claimed the top two flights, 3-1, before the Red Devils ran off six straight shutouts.
Andrew Strudwick (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest Academy) and first-year Alex Wattles (Millburn, N.Y./Millburn) turned in solid wins in the third and fourth flights.
Sophomore Cory Litman (Lower Merion, Pa./Lower Merion) captured the sixth (11-6, 11-5, 11-5) while Vincent Warzecha (Chester Springs, Pa./Malvern Prep) surrendered just nine points to take the seventh (11-2, 11-2, 11-5).
The Red Devils improve to 5-8 overall on the season. They are scheduled to face #28-Bowdoin College and #25-Tufts University on Friday before traveling to #21-MIT on Saturday.
