(Swarthmore, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team suffered a 117-88 setback in its regular season finale at Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) turned in another triple-win performance, claiming both the 1,000 and 500-yard freestyle events with times of 10:38.09 and 5:19.84. She added her third win of the day in the 200 freestyle, touching the wall in 2:00.10.
Senior Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) earned third place points in the 1,000 and 500 freestyle with marks of 11:00.52 and 5:25.82. She captured silver with the 200 free relay as they posted a time of 2:12.19.
Sophomore Sammy Boswell (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) led-off the second place free relay, adding a win in the 100 freestyle (56.26) and a second place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.15.
Classmate Katie Schmidt (Orono, Minn./Breck School) swam the lead leg of the second place 400 medley relay as they combined for a mark of 4:15.31. She captured the 200 backstroke in 2:12.99 and finished third in the 200 freestyle (2:04.05). Devon Korhammer (Easton, Pa./Moravian Academy) came in third in the backstroke with a time of 2:19.60.
First-year Molly Sternick (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) claimed second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:15.72 and anchored the free relay. Classmate Demetria Ruhl (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) was third in the butterfly (2:17.95) and swam the third leg of the medley.
Seniors Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y/Syosset) and Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) rounded out the medley relay while first-year Madeline Callahan (Westtown, N.Y./Minisink Valley) placed third in the 200 individual medley (2:19.51) and joined the free relay for a silver on the day.
The Red Devils finish the dual-meet schedule with an overall mark of 7-5 and 3-4 in the Centennial Conference. They will travel to Franklin & Marshall for the Centennial Conference Championships on February 17th, 18th and 19th.
