(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team went 2-1 at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. The Red Devils dropped a 154-107 decision to the host Diplomats but picked a pair of wins, topping Cabrini College 209-42 and SUNY New Paltz, 174.5-83.5.
Junior Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) had a solid day, winning the 1000 and 500 freestyle events with times of 10:53.92 and 5:20.44, and placing second in the 200 freestyle. She joined the 400 free relay for a fourth place finish with a mark of 3:52.88. First-year Madison Littlepage (Aldie, Va./John Champe) was third in the 500, coming in at 5:30.93.
First-year Hannah Griffith (Lansdale, Pa./William Penn Charter) posted wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, clocking times of 1:10.53 and 2:38.04. She joined the 400-medley relay, placing second with a time of 1:53.95.
Katie Schmidt (Plymouth, Minn./Breck School) led-off the medley relay. She added a win in the 200 backstroke (2:11.99) and placed second in the 100 backstroke (1:02.19).
Molly Sternick (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) joined the medley and free relays, placing third in the 50 free (25.71) and winning the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.85.
Senior Samantha Holden (Garret Park, Md./Walter Johnson) anchored the medley relay and placed fourth in both the 200 freestyle and the 200 individual medley.
Juniors Shannon Bonner (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) and Sammy Boswell (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) joined the free relay and placed fourth in the 100 free and 50 freestyle events, respectively.
The Red Devils improve to 7-5 overall but slip to 2-3 in the Centennial Conference. They return home for a Wednesday night meet, hosting Gettysburg College at 7:00 pm.
