Red Devils Post Midweek Win at McDaniel

(Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson men's swim team had a strong performance in a mid-week outing at McDaniel College. The Red Devils swam past the Green Terror, 59-35.

Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends Central) swam to wins in the 50 and 100-freestyle events, clocking times of 21.82 and 48.37, respectively.

First-year Damon St. Prix (Barbados/Peddie School, N.J.) won the 200-freestyle with a mark of 1:48.84 and placed third in the 100-freestyle, posting a 50.95. He had a strong swim with the 200-free relay.

Cameron McConagha (Broadlands, Va./Briar Woods) joined the winning 200-medley relay and placed third in the 200 Individual medley. He clocked a solid time in the 100-backstroke, clocking an exhibition mark of 1:02.84. Liam Pauli (Delran, N.J./Delran) swam the lead the leg with Bjorn Prandtner (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) on the anchor and John Crafa (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) swimming the third leg.

Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) won the 100-butterfly with Tyler Catania (Spotswood, N.J./St. Joseph) touching the wall second in 56.09. Catania won the 1000-freestyle with James Cummings (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) coming in second in the 1000 and third in the 500-freestyle, posting times of 10:27.36 and 5:29.69, respectively.

Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./The Pennington School) won the 200-Individual medley with a time of 1:58.86 and swam well in the 100-breaststroke, posting a mark of 1:02.08.

Logan Cort (Brookeville, Md./Mercersburg) won the 500-freestyle (5:00.73) and placed second in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:48.89. Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) was second in the 100-backstroke (54.32) and anchored a strong showing in exhibition in the 200-free relay.

The Red Devils improve to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to face Washington College on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
