Devils to do Battle for Conroy Cup After Sinking Mids on Saturday

HARTFORD, Conn. - The Dickinson men's squash team has earned the right to play for the Conroy Cup title on Sunday morning after downing the United States Naval Academy 5-4 in a "nip and tuck" College Squash Association Semifinal on Saturday at Wesleyan University.

Inside the Match
Dickinson found some success early in the ladder as Mark Naguib at the third slot took care of Henry Sparkman in four games. At the top two flights the Red and White would need to go the distance to secure a pair of victories with Omar Ali (1st) and Joe Smythe (2nd) each winning the fifth game by a score of 11-5. Jack Corkum playing at the eighth spot was the lone Devil to post a shutout as he was too much for Shankar Jambunathan. Kobe Fleming (4th) and Sam Knipp (7th) traded the first four games with their opponents, but were unable to come away with the win in the fifth. Hussien Eldesouky playing the sixth flight took the the first game versus Alexander Orr, before dropping the next three.
