CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swimming team grabbed six wins on Friday night to begin their 2024 home slate with a bang as the Red and White knocked off the visiting Messiah University Falcons 128-71 in non-conference action at the Clarke Aquatic Center.
The day started off quite well for the Devils as the team of
Frederico Colloca-Bianchi,
Andrew Kelley,
Daulton Kendall and
Justin Wong winning the 400-yard medley relay with a 3:41.80, followed by the group of
Nolan Chenot,
Aidan Keillor,
Henry Lease and
Daniel Vasquez in second (3:48.44).Â
In the 1650-yard freestyle
Benjamin Brandt posted a time of 18:15.88 to take second, while
Ben Lilly clocked in at 18:21.01 for third.Â
The Top-3 spots for the 200-yard freestyle were completely filled with Devils as
Alexander Kanard won the event thanks to a 1:52.43, followed closely by Kendall (1:52.61) and Keillor (1:54.70).
Sam Strieb also took part in the event getting to the wall at 2:04.12.Â
Wong earned second during the 50-yard freestyle by stopping the timer in 23.14, while
Aaron Stern and
Jack Engel occupied fourth (23.98) and fifth (24.46) respectively.Â
Vasquez collected the victory for the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:06.91.
Dickinson went two through four in the 200-yard butterfly as Kelley claimed second (2:06.08),
Paul Florio (3rd - 2:08.58) and Chenot rounded out the trio with a 2:09.29.
The 100-yard freestyle had three different members of the Red and White doing battle with Engel grabbing third (52.45), followed by Stern and Lilly in fourth (53.35) and fifth (54.98).
The Top-3 of the 200-yard backstroke was filled with Devils led by Colloca-Bianchi who won the event with a 2:06.72 beating out Vasquez (2nd - 2:10.28) and Brandt (3rd - 2:12.03).
Kanard secured another victory for the home side in the 500-yard freestyle by clocking in at 5:08.65, while Strieb finished off the Top-3 thanks to a 5:41.45.
It was another all DC Top-3 for the 200-yard breaststroke as this time Lease took the win in 2:21.44, followed by Keillor (2:23.94) and Wong (2:24.23). Florio rounded out the field in fifth with a 2:28.40.
The team of Chenot, Kanard, Kelley and Kendall finished number one during the 200-yard freestyle relay by clocking in at 1:29.93. Dickinson also claimed second courtesy of Colloca-Bianchi, Engel, Lilly and Stern with their 1:35.81.

Dickinson (2-5) gets right back to work tomorrow morning at 11 am when they make the short drive over to Grantham for a rematch with the Messiah University Falcons.Â
