SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swimming team gave a strong effort all afternoon, but it was not enough as the Centennial Conference favorite Swarthmore College Garnet collected a 216.5-42.5 dual meet win inside of Ware Pool on Saturday.
The meet began with the team of
Nolan Chenot,
Daulton Kendall,
Justin Wong and
James Wright posting a time of 1:38.61 for fourth during the 200-yard medley relay, while the other group of
Frederico Colloca-Bianchi,
Andrew Kelley,
Henry Lease and
Aaron Stern grabbed sixth (1:43.11). The DC unit of
Jack Engel,
Paul Florio, Aidan Keillo and
Ben Lilly clocked in at 1:46.34.
Alexander Kanard rounded out the Top-3 for the 1000-yard freestyle by getting to the wall in 10:31.24.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Kendall earned a fifth-place finish with a 1:50.32, followed by
Daniel Vasquez (1:53.58) and Kelley (1:53.67).Â
The 50-yard backstroke saw two Devils take to the pool as Lilly claimed fifth (28.92) and
Benjamin Brandt grabbed sixth (29.58).
A trio of DC athletes did battle during the 50-yard breaststroke with Chenot (29.18), Keillor (29.49) and Stern (30.70) taking up spots five through seven in the event.
Florio rounded out the Top-5 for the 100-yard butterfly posting a time of 58.37, while Colloca-Bianchi and
Sam Strieb nabbed sixth (1:02.17) and seventh (1:05.73) respectively.
The duo of Lease (5th - 23.64) and Engel (6th - 23.89) competed in the 50-yard freestyle.
Three different Devils took part in the 100-yard freestyle with Wong pacing the group in fourth by clocking in at 49.97, followed by Kanard (6fth - 50.79) and Stern (7th - 53.37).
Wright secured the first Top-3 of the meet for the Red and White during 100-yard backstroke taking third with a 54.39 and Colloca-Bianchi grabbing fifth (56.78).
Lease finished off the Top-5 for the 100-yard breaststroke by hitting the wall in 1:03.98. The duo of Keillor and Florio stopped the clock in 1:05.24 and 1:07.14.
Vasquez (5th - 5:03.34), Lilly (6th - 5:13.39), Brandt (7th - 5:16.58) and Strieb (8th - 5:38.99) competed in the 500-yard freestyle.
The 50-yard butterfly had two DC athletes in the race with Kendall seizing fifth (25.04), while Wong trailed just behind with a 25.13.
Wright continued his solid afternoon with a second-place result for the 200-yard individual medley by hitting the wall at 2:01.99. Three other members did battle as well Kelley (6th - 2:06.72), Vasquez (7th - 2:09.92) and Chenot (8th - 2:12.45).
The final event of the day was the 200-yard freestyle relay where the unit of Kanard, Kendall, Lease and Wong claimed fourth (1:30.84), while the other team of Colloca-Bianchi, Engel, Keillor and Stern picked up seventh (1:33.53).

Dickinson (4-6, 0-5 Centennial) will now take some time off before returning to action on Saturday, February 3rd at 1pm when they host the Green Terror of McDaniel College inside Clarke Aquatic Center.Â
