Thoughts From Head Coach Anthony Pompei
  • Expectations for the Season
    • Last year we were putting in the building blocks as far as our training regimen, culture building and team connection. With the way we finished last year we have a strong feeling that we are heading in the right direction and there is nothing but excitement across not only the coaching staff, but the athletes as well.
  • How Have the Returners Come Back
    • They have returned in outstanding shape it is clear that they took to heart the finish from last year and worked incredibly hard in the offseason to get better each and every day which is showing up in the pool and in class. I am excited to watch them continue to grow not only in their disciplines, but as human beings as well.
  • How Have the Newcomers Started
    • They have all looked great and have the opportunity ot contribute to our success right away. They arrived at the start of the fall with great energy and have immediately bought into the team culture that we are setting both in and out of the water. I fully expect them to add to our team successes as the season goes on.
  • New Addition to the Staff
    • In addition to returning assistant coach Devon Chenot, Coach Pompei has added Peri Farling to his staff. The 2023 graduate of Old Dominion University has already impressed as Pompei said "she has already made a big impact with the team in not only the coaching side of things, but in forming personal relationships with each student-athlete". "I cannot wait to see what other marks she will make with our program throughout the year" he added.
Senior Leadership
  • Coach Pompei will be relying on the Sarah duo of Sarah McHenry and Sarah Mulcahy to provide vital leadership in their final collegiate season.
