ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Dickinson women's swim team got back to their winning ways on Friday night by posting a 111-76 non-conference triumph over the host Elizabethtown College.
Dickinson's first win of the night came in the 1000-yard freestyle as
Tori May bested the field with a time of 11:03.88.
The 200-yard freestyle saw the Red and White take up slots one and two thanks to
Caitlin Gross (2:04.65) and
Sydney Farling (2:11.42) respectively.
Madeline Dold and
Izzy Klonsky occupied second and third for the 50-yard freestyle with marks of 26.51 and 27.14.
Two Devils earned podium spots during the 200-yard individual medley as
Anna Gnagey won the event with a 2:13.50, followed by
Sarah Mulcahy in third at 2:24.53.
Sarah McHenry also competed taking fifth (2:28.24).
Gnagey grabbed her second consecutive win in the next event the 100-yard butterfly by getting to the wall in 59.42, while teammate
Bella Gerkin claimed third (1:09.74).
Dickinson nabbed first and third for the 100-yard freestyle with Gross winning her second race with a 56.31, followed by Dold at 58.08 for third.
May collected her second victory during the 100-yard backstroke by getting to the wall in 1:01.68 holding off McHenry who landed in second place with a 1:04.74.
A trio of Red and White athletes did battle in the 500-yard freestyle with
Meghan Schmidt winning the race at 5:40.72, while Klonsky and Mulcahy claimed third (5:42.89) and fourth (5:51.87).
Gerkin and Farling swam to a draw for second during the 100-yard breaststroke with both posting times of 1:13.28.
The meet ended with the Devils winning the 400-yard freestyle relay as the team of Dold, Gross, Klonsky and Schmidt clocking in at 3:52.87.
Next on the Pool Deck
Dickinson (2-4) who had their home meet for tomorrow canceled will now return to the pool on Friday, December 6th for night one of the Gettysburg College Invite. The action will begin at 6pm.
