MATCH TWO – RED DEVILS 4, Fords 5

Inside the Match
The Red Devils left it all out on the court, but in the end the experienced Fords were just too much to handle. The Fords came out the gates strong, winning 5 out of the first 6 matches, with the lone Red Devil win coming from Graduate Student Samuel Knipp, who played a great match, winning in straight sets. The Red Devils then won all 4 of the last 4 matches (including the exhibition tenth flight match), which is a testament to the never quit attitude of the team. First-Year Will Krizek played the match of the weekend, needing 1 hour and 24 minutes to finally beat Noah Tunis in five games. Two other first years Noah George and Menghou Du picked up the other two wins, with George needing four sets to close out Kai Thomas Schinaman. Du needed only three games to win in the seventh flight, after playing his own match of the weekend.
