From the Mind of Coach Diop
- Thoughts on Schedule
- I always want our schedule to be competitive! Out of conference especially we look to push our team with NCAA Tournament caliber teams to help us grow and help us to showcase our strength of schedule. Our second trip to Puerto Rico in my time here is another exciting thing that we are looking forward to.
- What have you seen in the preseason that has you excited about the season?
- I am very excited about the growth we have seen in our players from last season to this point, the leadership we have, and the experience we have on the team really excites me for this season!
- How have your first-years acclimated to the college game so far?
- They are still getting adjusted, but I believe that as they get more on-court experience everything will continue to piece together quite nicely. They are an incredibly hard-working group and continue to learn each and every day which is all a coach can ask for.
- What is your outlook for the year ahead?
- Every year we want to continue to get better and do better than the previous year. I think we did some great things last season, but still have a lot more that we want to accomplish. I am very excited about this team, I think our schedule will challenge and push us to bring our best every night. It is a challenge that we are looking forward to doing together as a team starting this Saturday!
