PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Dickinson men's squash team returned to action on Saturday, but were kept winless on their first day of a Rhode Island trip, suffering an 8-1 loss to the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College, and a 5-4 setback against Ivy League member Brown Bears.

Inside the Match
It was always going to be an uphill battle for the Red Devils, going up against a higher ranked Bowdoin side, with some injuries and sickness leaving the men a few players down. The solo Red Devil win came from first-year Noah George, where he took down Aryan Singh in the third flight in five games, taking him 45 minutes. First-year Owen Buroker returned to his old stomping grounds, playing at his high school club for the first time as a college athlete, going down in the second flight in three tight games. There we some good stretches of squash, and a lot of learning by the young Red Devils team but went down in three games in all the remaining matches.

The Red Devils showed their strength at the top of the lineup, winning the top four flights, however, losing the bottom five flights. First-year's Will Krizek and Noah George winning in the first and third flight in three games, with Krizek needing two tiebreakers to get the job done. Another first-year Owen Buroker took down Dawson Lin in the second flight, needing five games and a comeback being down two-one, to get the win for the Red Devils. The fourth and final win came from graduate student Samuel Knipp in the fourth flight, winning in four games after dropping the first. Menghou Du and Adam Warburton gave it their all in the seventh and eighth flights, but eventually losing in four games.
