PHILADELPHIA - The Dickinson men's squash team battled hard all day, but despite winning at three of the top five flights it was not enough as the Continentals of Hamilton College posted a 5-4 win inside the Specter Squash Center in a consolation bracket semifinal at the College Squash Association Team Championships.
Inside the Match
Dickinson picked up wins at the first three spots with
Joe Smythe and
Omar Ali playing at one and two respectively, blanked both William Rice and Tate Suratt. Then, in the third slot
Kobe Fleming let a 2-0 lead slip to Tobey Suratt, before earning a hard-fought 16-14 win. After,
Sam Knipp was knocked off by Jacob Shulman at four,
Aidan Ray collected a 3-0 win over Nicholas Carabatsos. Unfortunately, for the Red and White the group of
Cormac Sullivan (6th),
George Vollmer (7th),
Bradley Hennessy (8th) and
James Kiracofe (9th) all suffered 3-0 setbacks allowing Hamilton to secure the win.
