CARLISLE, Pa. – The Dickinson men's squash team concluded a busy four-day stretch with a 6-3 setback to the 17th-ranked Mammoths of Amherst College on Monday afternoon inside the Kline Squash Center. Today marked the Red and White's final home game until the middle of February when they host the Centennial Conference Championship.
Inside the Match
The top two flights of the lineup finished the three-game home stretch undefeated for the Red and White. Junior Joe Smythe needed to battle hard and extend the match to four games, but was too much for Abhimanyu Gupta in the top flight. Graduate student Omar Ali backed up his one hour and 40-minute match on Saturday with a close three game victory in the second flight. The third victory for the Red Devils came in the fourth flight, where first-year Will Krizek battled hard to take down Flynn Venmore in 55 minutes. First-year Derek Du played well in the ninth flight also, winning the second game, but dropped the match in four games.
