CARLISLE, Pa. — Dickinson College women's swimming emerged victorious against Washington College (Md.) on Saturday in their home opener, winning 129-71. The win was highlighted by first-year
Alina Shipley and junior
Anna Gnagey winning two events each.
The Red Devils had a strong showing in their home opener, winning eight events total. Junior
Anna Gnagey touched the wall first in both the 100 IM and 200 Back, swimming times of 1:01.70 and 2:12.34 respectively. First-year
Alina Shipley also found success, winning the 400 IM in 4:42.47, the 500 Free in 5:27.25, and 400 Free Relay in 3:47.05 alongside the A team.

Individual Swimming
- 400 Yard IM — Shipley placed first with a time of 4:42.47; Johnston took second in 4:48.27; May took third in 4:48.94.
- 200 Yard Freestyle — Byers claimed second place, finishing in 2:04.60; Dold was third in 2:11.55.
- 50 Yard Freestyle — Gross secured first with a time of 25.45; McGhee finished fourth in 27.65.
- 100 Yard IM — Gnagey won with a time of 1:01.70; Farling finished fourth in 1:06.49.
- 200 Yard Backstroke — Gnagey won the event in 2:12.34.
- 500 Yard Freestyle — Shipley placed first with a time of 5:27.25; May followed recording a time of 5:28.56.
- 200 Yard Breaststroke — Bezanson finished first in 2:30.20; Whitaker took second in 2:46.89.

Up next for the Red Devils, they will face Arcadia University on November 7 at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Clarke Aquatic Center in Carlisle, PA.
