HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Junior
Ava Prisco scored three times as the Dickinson women's soccer team outshot the host Juniata College 25-1 (12-0 on target) en route to a comprehensive 4-0 non-conference win over the Eagles on Wednesday night at Gibbel Stadium.
First Half
- The Devils wasted little time putting the pressure on the Juniata backline as the trio of Lila Brown, Maddie St. Amand and Prisco forced JC keeper Emma Stiller into three saves within the first ten minutes.
- Dickinson made it 1-0 with 13:35 off the clock when Prisco buried her first of the day.
- The Eagles finally got into the DC end during the 26th minutes earning a corner kick, but were unable to get a shot towards keeper Lauren Hollis.
- Two minutes later the Devils went up 2-0 as Prisco completed her brace.
- Dickinson continued to fire away at goal with Emma Barrabee, Anna Bitsko, Lauren Ervin, Joelle Ma and Maddie Kraft-Williams each letting at least one shot go tasking Stiller to make three more saves keeping it 2-0 at half.
Second Half
- First-year goalie Pico Gray went between the sticks to start the period and she immediately watched both Norah Heacock and Georgia Mantione let a shot go, but neither got to Stiller.
- However, with just over five minutes off the clock Prisco finished off her hat trick on a nice dish from Isabelle Bariso.
- Dickinson would take advantage of a set piece in the 61st minute as Katie Vassilakos crossed in a corner to Brown who stashed it behind Stiller for a 4-0 lead.
- The Devils outshot the Eagles four to one the remainder of the way to see out the 4-0 win.
