McMahon-Shea Wins as Devils Claim Second at Home Tournament

CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's golf team finished off a very competitive two days at the Dickinson Fall Invitational on Monday afternoon by claiming second as a team, while senior Collin McMahon-Shea fired a seven-under 65 to help him win the event with a total of 136.

"A" Team - 2nd (289-286 | 575)
No other members of the team joined McMahon-Shea in red numbers on the 6670-yard, par 72 course during the day, but both Erik Schneider and Carl Williams came close posting identical 72s to help aide the cause. The duo of William Griffith and Ryan Wheeler carded five-over 77s to round out the scoring. 

"B" Team - 10th (301-298 | 599)
Vincent Carr led the way knocking eight strokes off his score to post a one-under 71. Jake Goldberg added one more shot to his total from Sunday as he entered the 19th-hole on 74, while Chan Yoon finished with a 76. Sam Sieminski was one behind at 77, followed by Colin Vineberg on an even 80.

"C" Team - T-6th (293-307 | 600)
The pair of Landon Mausser and Walter Gumbinger were able to card 75 each to edge out classmate Michael DePalma on the day by one stroke as he ended with a 76. Brendan Doyle closed out his first tournament of the year by posting an 81, while Rocco Mastrangelo finished at 85.

Individuals
Jack Poitras closed out the two day competition with a 78 to edge out Luke Vance by one (79).

Individual and Team Leader
McMahon-Shea and Max Silverman from Franklin & Marshall College tied for the individual title with matching 136s. The tiebreaking scenario feature a match of cards starting with the cumulative scores from holes 16-17-18. In that stretch, McMahon-Shea posted a number of 11, while Silverman finished with a 12 allowing the Red Devil to take the win.

The Top-5 of the team standings are as follows:
  1. Franklin & Marshall "A": 275-281 | 556
  2. Dickinson "A": 289-286 | 575
  3. Susquehanna: 289-287 | 576
  4. Millersville: 293-290 | 583 and York (Pa.): 293-290 | 583
