CARLISLE, Pa. -- The Dickinson women's swim team kicked off their 2026 slate with the Dickinson Tri-Meet against Bloomsburg and the Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Friday afternoon at the Clarke Aquatic Center. Despite falling to both teams, the afternoon was highlighted by new records for sophomore
Caitlin Gross and multiple top-three finishes.
Individual Results
- Caitlin Gross had a great swim in the 50 Fly, taking second overall. She touched the wall in 27.90, shaving off 0.04 seconds of her PR.
- In the women's 500 Free, Julia Byers notched a great second place finish with a time of 5:27.06.
- Behind Byers was Emma Johnston in third, finishing with a quick 5:29.48 finish.
- First-Year Alina Shipley continued her great first season with a third place, 2:16.23 finish in the 200 IM.
- Gross took another top finish in the 50 Back, where she finished in 29.14 for fourth place and a new PR.
- In the 50 Breast, first-year Lydia Mossi tabbed a fifth place finish in 32.98.
Relay Results
- The Red Devils began in the 200 Medley Relay, where Anna Gnagey, Bezanson, Johnston, and Gross took third overall in 1:52.54.
- In the 200 Free Relay, the team of Gross, Gnagey, Shipley, and Bezanson finished in 1:44.47 for fourth place.
- The Red and White continued in the 400 Free Relay, with Gnagey, Shipley, Byers, and Johnston finishing third in 3:52.27. In fifth place was the squad of Tori May, Madeline Dold, Anja Tarateta, and and Isobel O'Connell with a 3:59.49 finish.

The Dickinson swim team will travel to Messiah University tomorrow, Saturday January 17 for a dual meet. Events are set to begin at 11 a.m. in the Fredricksen Natatorium.
