James Lettieri has been a member of the Red Devil coaching staff since the fall of 2022 and was promoted to Associate Head Coach in June 2025. He primarily oversees the Defensive and Face-off units.
Since arriving in Carlisle, Lettieri has helped the Red Devils establish a new benchmark for success. During his time with the program, Lettieri has helped Dickinson reach the 4th highest win percentage in Division III with at least 15 victories in each full season while claiming three consecutive Centennial Conference championships, advancing to three NCAA Tournaments, including two Elite 8 appearances and a National Championship Game in May of 2025.
With this success, Lettieri was celebrated as part of the IMLCA Region 3 and IMLCA Division III Coaching Staff of the year in 2025.
In addition to the team's success, he has led the defense to tops in the Centennial Conference in goals against, ground balls, caused turnovers, clear percentage and face-off win percentage each of the last three seasons.
Under Lettieri’s guidance, 11 players have earned All-American accolades as well as 27 All-Conference winners including three consecutive first-team face-off men.
Prior to arriving in Carlisle, Lettieri served on the coaching staff at Rhodes College from 2019-22. During his time in Memphis, he served as the defensive, face-off and recruiting coordinator. He assisted in leading the Lynx to back-to-back conference championship game appearances in ‘21 and ‘22. He also mentored 15 All-SAA conference players, including the 2022 newcomer of the year, David Hart, and two Academic All-Americans.
In advance of getting into the coaching profession, Lettieri was a four-time letterman in lacrosse at Albright College where he served as the team’s face-off specialist and earned All-Conference in his Sophomore campaign and in his Junior year, helped lead the team to its first Conference Championship appearance since 2014.
