| (Haverford, Pa.) - The
Dickinson College women's volleyball team suffered a pair of losses
at Haverford on Saturday. The host 'Fords, ranked 25th in the
American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll, topped the Devils 3-0
(25-12, 25-22, 25-11). In their second match, the Devils fell to
Elizabethtown 3-0 as well (25-18, 25-10, 25-14). |
Amanda Hayes (Midlothian,
Va./Midlothian) turned in a strong performance for
the Red Devils, recording 18 digs in the opener and 20 in the
nightcap.
Senior Ely Gosheva (Sofia, Bulgaria/American U. of
Sofia) led the attack with 18 kills on the
day. Chelsea Winkert (Cazenovia,
N.Y./Cazenovia) dished out 29 assists against
Haverford and tallied 21 in the Elizabethtown match. She also added
five kills and three blocks.
Kristen Lee (Los Angeles,
Calif./Brentwood) chipped in with eight kills, 13
digs and a pair of aces.
The Red Devils slip to 6-15 overall and 3-5 in the Centennial
Conference. They travel to Gettysburg for a 7:00 pm match on
Wednesday night.
