(Carlisle, Pa.)- The 21-ranked
Dickinson College women's soccer team rallied to a 2-1,
double-overtime victory over Ursinus on Saturday. |
First-year Hannah Richardson (Chevy Chase,
Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) tied the game in the 74th
minute and converted a penalty kick with just 1:13 remaining in the
second overtime.
Following a scoreless first half, Ursinus went in front 1-0 on a
goal by Brittany Williams with an assist from Megan Ascanio in the
the 53rd minute.
Richardson tied the game off an assist from
senior Courtney Anderson (S. Pasadena, Calif./S.
Pasadena) with just over 16 minutes left in
regulation.
Kailyn Hartmann (Darien, Conn./St.
Luke's) made five saves for Dickinson. Justine Harvey
stopped seven shots as the Devils held a 19-7 advantage in
shots.
The Red Devils improve to 7-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
Ursinus falls to 4-3 and 1-1. Dickinson travels to #14-ranked Johns
Hopkins for a 7:00 start on Tuesday night.
