team struck early on Friday, on route to a 3-0 win at McDaniel.
Sophomore Hannah
Richardson (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase)
played a ball in from the right side that went off a defender and
into the goal just 2:53 into the contest.
First-year Rosalin
Savoie (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) slipped a shot in under
the crossbar, off an assist from junior Genevieve
Olson (Quincy, Mass./Thayer Academy) with just 3:43
remaining in the half.
Sophomore Casey Reilly
(Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) turned on a shot in the
71st minute, finishing a pass from first-year Olivia
Licata (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern
Highlands).
The Red Devils dominated the game, holding the Green Terror to
just two shots, both in the first half. Dickinson tallied 26 shots,
putting 14 on the net. McDaniel goalkeeper Jan Woolley made 11
saves. The Devils also held the advantage in corners, 10-1.
Sophomore Annie
Weichert (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) tallied one save in
74 minutes of action, sharing the shutout with first-year
Edie Riggs
(Frederick, Md./Linganore). It was the fifth straight
shutout of the season, and the ninth overall for the Red
Devils.
The Red Devils improve to 9-2-1 overall and 4-1 in the
Centennial Conference. They are on the road again tomorrow,
traveling to Bryn Mawr College for a 1:00 kick-off.
