(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's soccer
team posted its 10th shutout of the season with a 4-0
win at Bryn Mawr on Saturday.
Sophomore Marissa
Kunkle (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) dished out a pair of
assists and scored the final goal for the Devils while Genevieve
Olson (Quincy, Mass./Thayer Academy) added a goal and
an assist as well.
Kunkle assisted Olson just eight minutes in to put the Devils on
the board. Sophomore Kim
Callaghan (Armonk, N.Y./St. Luke's, Conn.) was on the
receiving end of Kunkle's second assist, scoring in the
20th minute.
Just over 10 minutes into the second half Olson would feed
first-year Samantha
Friday (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional) her
fourth goal of the year, to stretch the lead to 3-0. Sophomore
Ashley
Fields (Far Hills, N.J./Ridge) assisted Kunkle in the
59th minute for the final of 4-0.
Annie
Weichert (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and Edie Riggs
(Frederick, Md./Linganore) split the shutout with Riggs
recording a pair of saves. The Red Devils held Bryn Mawr to just
three shots on the day and held a 9-2 advantage on corners.
The Red Devils improve to 10-2-1 overall and 5-1 in the
Centennial Conference. They travel to Franklin & Marshall on
Wednesday for a 7:00 match with the Diplomats.
