(Carlisle, Pa.)The Dickinson College women's soccer team pulled-off a 1-0 win in double-overtime to beat visiting Muhlenberg College in Centennial Conference play Saturday afternoon.

For the second week in a row, first-year player Samantha Friday (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional) scored the game winning goal, this week's goal coming two minutes in to the second overtime. The game-winner came on the heels of well-placed corner kick by sophomore Ashley Fields (Far Hills, N.J./Ridge). Senior Ashley Kunkle (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and sophomore sister Marissa Kunkle (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) each fired off a shot before Friday hit net.

It was a hard fought battle for the Red Devils, who dominated the field most of the game, forcing ten corners on the day. The defense played strong for the first half, holding the Mules to only one corner kick.  In the second half, Muhlenberg came back on offense, forcing six corners.

Sophomore Casey Reilly (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) turned in another strong performance defensively, in front of classmate goalkeeper Annie Weichert (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) had a superb outing, playing all 110 minutes and saving nine shots.

On the opposite end, Michelle Toher had a great outing as well. She also played all 110 minutes, and made eight saves on the day as Muhlenberg drops to 2-5-2 overall and 2-1 in the CC.

Next up, the Red Devils remain at home to battle Juniata College on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
