(Carlisle, Pa.) The Dickinson College women's volleyball team
suffered a setback on Saturday as they fell to Swarthmore College,
3-0. The Garnet opened the match with a 25-15 decision in the first
set, adding 25-21 and 25-19 scores in the next two, capturing
the match for their 14th win of the season.
Sophomore Avery Zuvic
(Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) led the way for the Devils
with eight kills, five digs, and three blocks. First-year
Grace
Morgan (York, Pa./York Suburban) was a key on offense
with 25 assists, also adding seven digs.
First-year Joanna DeCastro (Far Hills, N.J./West Morris
Mendham) recorded a match-high 13 digs, while junior
Kaylee
Britain (Wayzata, Minn./Blake) recorded a match-best
four blocks.
Genny Pezzola led Swarthmore with a match-high 12 kills, adding
seven digs and a pair of aces. Allison Coleman dished out 26
assists and added five kills.
Swarthmore improved to 4-1 in the Centennial Conference and 14-4
overall. Dickinson falls to 1-3 in the CC and 4-12 overall. Next
up, Dickinson travels to Westminster, Maryland to face McDaniel
College on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.
