(Allentown, Pa.) - The Dickinson College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 setback at Muhlenberg on Saturday. The Mules captured the first two sets, 25-15, 25-16 before the Devils rallied to claim the third set, 25-20. Muhlenberg regrouped to secure the match with a 25-20 decision in game four as they improve to 4-11 and 2-2 in the Centennial Conference.
Sophomore Samantha Iazzetta (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) led the Devil attack with 12 kills, adding six digs and three blocks. Senior Liz Norris (Southbury, Conn./Hotchkiss School) reached double-figures with 10 kills to go with five digs and a pair of aces.
Sophomore setter Grace Morgan (York, Pa./ York Suburban) served up four aces while handing out 26 assists and recording 12 digs for the match. Avery Zuvic (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) recorded six kills, six digs and a pair of blocks while Kaylee Britain (Wayzata, Minn./Blake) tallied five kills and a pair of blocks.
The Red Devils battled with Mount Saint Mary's in their second match, putting points on the board, but falling 3-0. The Knights claimed the match with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.
Britain added seven kill and a pair of aces in the nightcap while Norris and Iazzatta each tallied seven kills in the match as well. Morgan handed out 15 assists while first-year MacKenzie Masten (Atherton, Calif./Notre Dame) added seven assists.
The Red Devils slip to 2-12 overall and 0-2 in the Centennial Conference.
