(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's volleyball team turned in another solid effort, but came up short, falling to Washington College, 3-1, on Friday night. The Red Devils rallied from a 5-0 deficit to win the opening set, 25-20. The Shorewomen held off the Devils over the next three games, (25-17, 25-17, 25-18) to capture the match.
Lauren Bell led the visitors with 13 kills and five service aces. Lauren White dished out 29 assists as Washington improves to 12-9 overall and 1-5 in the Centennial Conference.
Senior Liz Norris (Southbury, Conn./Hotchkiss School) led the Devils with a match-high 13 kills, adding eight digs. Sophomore Avery Zuvic (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) tallied seven kills and served up five aces.
Sophomores Samantha Iazzetta (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) and Emily Kisak (Columbia, Md./Howard) each added six kills and combined for 13 digs. Classmate Grace Morgan (York, Pa./York Suburban) handed out a match-high 31 assists and recorded 16 digs.
The Red Devils slip to 3-15 overall and 1-5 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Johns Hopkins University on Tuesday night for 7:00 pm start.
