(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's soccer team suffered its second loss in Centennial Conference play, dropping a 2-0 decision at Gettysburg on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bullets tallied goals in each half, as they improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Sara Montague scored on a header, redirecting a cross from Meg Castranova in the 29th minute to put the Bullets on the board.
They would strike again from the corner as Molly Phillips deflected a shot off a Red Devil defender's head in the 63rd minute to provide an insurance goal for the Bullets.
The Bullets outshot the Devils, 20-11, and held a 10-4 advantage in corner kicks. Junior Annie Weichert (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) made three saves for the Devils while Allie Rivera stopped four shots in the nets for Gettysburg.
The Red Devils slip to 3-2-1 overall and 0-2 in the conference. They return home to host Swarthmore College on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
