(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback to visiting Haverford College on Wednesday night. The Red Devils played even in the opening set, falling 25-21. The 'Fords came out strong, taking the next two sets, 25-7 and 25-6.
Caitlyn Tranquillo and Olivia Coburn-Flynn led a balanced Haverford attack, each with eight kills. Laura Ramos added seven kills, seven digs and a pair of blocks as well.
The Red Devils were held to just 15 kills on the night. Liz Norris (Southbury, Conn./Hotchkiss School) and Avery Zuvic (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) each tallied four kills.
Sophomore Emily Kisak (Columbia, Md./Howard) added three kills, four service aces and four digs on the night. Classmat Grace Morgan (York, Pa./York Suburban) dished out nine assists.
The Red Devils slip to 2-8 overall and 0-1 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Elizabethtown College on Friday to face the host #11-ranked Juniata at 4:30 and the host Blue Jays at 7:00 pm.
