(Swarthmore, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team controlled the flow of play for the majority of the match on Thursday night, but dropped a 1-0 decision at Swarthmore College.
Megan Brock capitalized on a defensive miscue to net the game's only goal in the 14th minute and the Garnet held on the rest of the way.
The Red Devils held a slim advantage in shots (13-10) and corners (5-2) and had strong possessions throughout the match but could not net the equalizer. Reba Magier turned in a strong performance in goal for Swarthmore, making seven saves on the night.
Senior Annie Weichert (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) stopped four shots for the Red Devils.
Dickinson slips to 9-4 overall and even in the Centennial Conference at 3-3. Swarthmore improves to 7-4 and 4-2 in the CC. The Red Devils are on the road again on Saturday, traveling to Washington College for a 4:00 pm kick-off.
