(Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson women's volleyball team suffered another disappointing setback on Wednesday, falling at McDaniel College, 3-0.
The Red Devils played a tough first set, falling 25-19. The Green Terror closed out the match with scores of 25-15 and 25-11, as they improve to 11-3 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial Conference.
Kloe Martin led the hosts with a match-high 14 kills, adding four block assists and seven digs. Colette Kellen and Maddie Moyer combined for 34 assists while Genna Weger chipped in with 17 digs.
The Red Devils were led by sophomore Laura Silverman (Marlborough, Mass./Marlborough) with 11 kills on the night. Sophomore setter Jenn Morrissey (Rockville, Md./Good Counsel) handed out 23 assists, adding four digs.
Senior Joanna De Castro (Far Hills, N.J./West Morris Mendham) had another strong performance with eight kills and eight digs. First-year Arielle Misrok (Ardsley, N.Y./Ardsley) tallied 13 digs while senior Grace Morgan (Williamsburg, Va./York Suburban) chipped in with six on the night.
The Red Devils slip to 5-9 overall and 0-4 in the Centennial Conference. They are on the road again on Saturday, traveling to York College for a tri-match with the Spartans and Southern Virginia.
