The Green Terror scored a pair of quick touchdowns, but the Red Devils rallied to take a 28-17 lead at halftime.

McDaniel struck first, scoring on just three plays on its opening drive, starting on the Green Terror 10 yard line. Ryan Yamada connected with Nick O'Melia for an 82 yard scoring strike, just 1:36 into the game.

Nick Chuing intercepted a Cole Ahnell (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) pass to give the Terror the ball on at midfield.

Joe Rollins ran for 38 yards and caught a 13 yard pass, scoring seven plays later to stretch the lead to 14-0.

Wilson answered on the ensuing drive as the Red Devil offensive line opened some big holes. Wilson carried four times for 52 yards before Cedric Madden (Norristown, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) broke a nine yard run. Ahnell capped the drive with a one yard touchdown with 7:29 remaining in the quarter.

Sophomore linebacker Connor Thompson (Jenkintown, Pa./Father Judge) intercepted Yamada at the 31 yard line and turned it into a pick-six, tying the game to start the second quarter.

The Green Terror put together a solid 15-play drive, covering 75 yards to yield a 23-yard field-goal, with 6:54 remaining in the half.

Dickinson capitalized on a McDaniel penalty and a 20 yard run by senior captain Todd Smolinsky (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) on a fake punt. That led to a 19-yard touchdown pass from Ahnell to junior wide receiver Eric Ondo (Richland, Pa./ELCO) with 3:22 on the clock.

The defense held to force a punt as the offense took over with 2:02 to play. Capone and Wilson combined for 41 yards and Ahnell added nine to get Dickinson into the end zone. Wilson found pay-dirt on a 19-yard scoring run with less than a minute to play.

Sophomore Jack Margavitch (York, Pa./Dallastown) stalled the McDaniel drive with an interception on the two yard line. The Devils ran out the clock and headed into halftime with a 28-17 lead.

Capone scored on the Devils' opening drive of the second half. He broke his 58 yard run to move the ball into McDaniel territory, and later scored on a one yard dive.

The game was scoreless for the remainder of the third. McDaniel took advantage of great field position to score with 12:08 left in the game. They went for two and Yamada hit Keith Woodrow for the conversion, making the score, 35-25.

Junior Adam Kaminski (Exton, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) kicked a 41-yard field-goal, stretching the margin to 13, with 9:32 to play.

After trading punts, Yamada went to the air. He moved the Terror to the Dickinson seven yard line. After miraculously escaping a sack, he found daylight on the left side and ran to the end zone. The Devils blocked the extra-point to keep a seven point lead at, 38-31.

Ondo covered an on-sides kick attempt, giving the Devils possession on the McDaniel 46 yard line. Wilson ran for 22 yards and a pair of McDaniel penalties allowed Dickinson to close out the game with a trio of kneel downs.

Senior captain Michael Miller (Hainesport, N.J./Bishop Eustace) recorded a game-high 13 tackles, including eight solo stops. Jake Myers (Middletown, Del./St. Andrew's) added eight tackles and Shane Mitchell (Whitehaven, Pa./Crestwood) tallied six.

Mike Cousar led the defense with 12 tackles while Shane Douglas added 10. Matt Quattrone, son of Dickinson defensive coordinator Joel Quattrone, added a pair of tackles on special teams.

Wilson ran for 129 yards while Capone added 79. Madden finished with 71 yards on 12 carries while Ahnell and Kyle Smith (Easton, Pa./Easton) chipped in with 43 and 35. Ondo covered 33 yards on three catches.

Junior Michael Carmella (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South) came on at quarterback to close out the game, completing 2-of-3 passes. First-year James Ward (Hatfield, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) returned five kick-offs for 117 yards with a long return of 29.
