(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team held off a challenge from McDaniel College on Saturday, posting a 110-95 win, over the visiting Green Terror.
Junior Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J./Madison) dominated the distance events, winning both the 1000 and 500 yard freestyle events. She clocked a time of 10:59.79 to claim the 1000 and posted a time of 5:21.76 in the 500. She added a second place finish with the 200 free relay, swimming the third leg.
Sophomore Caitlin Klockner (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional) posted wins in the 100 and 200 yard freestyle events, clocking times of 54.81 and 1:58.12.
The Red Devils went 1-2-3 in the 100 yard butterfly. First-year Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) led the way with a time of 1:01.56. Classmate Lindsay Morton (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional) was second (1:02.99), with senior Rachel Williams (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) coming in third at 1:03.77.
Leary placed second with both the 200 medley and free relay teams while Morton swam to third in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:30.52.
Senior Carson Gannon (Morristown, N.J./Morristown Beard) turned in a trio of second place finishes on the day. She led-off the second place free relay, posting a time of 1:46.53., and placed second in the 200 and 500 freestyle events with times of 2:02.51 and 5:25.78, respectively.
First-year Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) touched the wall first in the 200 individual medley, clocking a time of 2:17.98, followed by senior Natalie LeBlanc (Westport, Conn./Staples) in second with a mark of 2:18.46.
First-year Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) was second in the 100 backstroke (1:02.44) and with the medley relay. She added a third place showing in the 50 free with a time of 55.35. Sophomore Katie Nirenberg (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) anchored the medley relay and placed third in the 100 free, in 57.70.
Senior Gillie Grattan (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) anchored the second place free relay and finished third in the 200 freestyle with a mark of 2:07.84.

The Red Devils improve to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Washington College next Saturday for a 2:00 pm start against the Shorewomen.
