(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team claimed all but two events as they cruised past Bryn Mawr, 136-57, on Friday night.
The Red Devils jumped out to a strong start, capturing first and second in the opening 400 medley relay. Sophomore Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamoroneck) swam the anchor leg of the winning team and also touched the wall first in the 200 individual medley.
Sophomore Jacqulyn Teller (Woobury, N.Y./Syosset) recorded wins in the 1000 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. First-year Callie Miles (Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) was a double-winner as well, posting the top times in the 50 free and the 100 backstroke.
Senior Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J./Madison) led-off the second place medley relay and added a second and a third in the 100 and 50 freestyle events.
Senior Johanna Fleming (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) had a solid meet, winning the 500 free and placing second in the 200 free and the medley relay. Classmate Nora Snee (Fall Church, Va./JEB Stuart) placed second in the 1000 free and touched the wall third in the 500.
Lindsay Morton (Orange, N.Y./Amity Regional) and Kayleigh Wright (Hanover, Mass./South Shore Charter) swam with the second place medley relay and added wins in the 200 and 100 freestyle, respectively.
First-year Devon Korhammer (Easton, Pa./Moravian Academy) came in a split-second in front of Brennan in the 50 free to claim second. He was second in the 200 backstroke and swam exhibition in the 400 free relay.
Senior Carla Vazquez-Ramos (Arlington, Va./Arlington) finished second behind Fleming in the 500 and gave the Devils the top four finishes in the 50 free. First-year Brenna Nimkoff (Weston, Conn./Weston) was second in the 100 butterfly and classmate Kayla Kahan (Lansdale, Pa./Friends Select) came in second in the 100 breaststroke.
Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) and Elizabeth Smith (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) was the first two legs of the winning medley relay. Houser finished second in the individual medley while Smith was third in the 100 backstroke.
The Red Devils posted their fifth straight win to improve to 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They are in action again on Saturday, returning home to face Division II Bloomsburg at 1:00 pm.
