(Reading, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's volleyball team posted a 3-1 win at Albright College on Thursday night, improving to 3-6 on the season.
The Red Devils claimed the first two sets, (25-20, 25-22), before the Lions answered with a 25-20 decision to force a fourth set. Dickinson regrouped to claim the match, 25-18.
The Red Devils had four players reach double-figures in kills, combining for 55 in the match. First-year Lauren Beecher (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) led the Devils with a match-high 13 kills.
Junior Emily Smith (Victor, N.Y./Victor) and first-year Gillian Chan (Brooklyn, N.Y./Poly Prep Country Day) each added 12. Smith recorded nine digs and served up a pair of aces.
First-year Norma Jean Park (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) reached double-digits with 10 kills, adding a pair of service aces and assisting on three blocks. Junior setter Jenn Morrissey (Rockville, Md./Good Counsel) dished out 51 assists on the Devils' 55 kills, adding a pair of kills, four digs and a block.
The Red Devils return home for the Centennial Conference opener on Saturday, hosting Haverford College at 1:00 pm.
