(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team placed well in a number of events, posting a 138-64 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils went one-two-three in the 200 freestyle and the 200 individual medley, adding one-two finishes in the 1000 freestyle and the 200 yard butterfly.
Junior Caitlin Klockner (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional) enjoyed her second straight triple-win, capturing the 100 and 200 freestyle, and swimming the lead leg of the winning 400 yard free relay as the Devils clocked a time of 3:48.07.
First-year Elizabeth Smith (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) was a triple-winner as well, touching the wall first in the 200 individual medley and the 200 yard breaststroke. She swam the second leg of the 400 medley relay as they combined for a time of 4:12.35 to start the meet.
Senior Johanna Fleming (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) earned a gold, silver and a bronze on the afternoon. She anchored the 400 free relay, placed second in the 200 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle. First-year Kayleigh Wright (Hanover, Mass./South Shore Charter) came in just behind Fleming to capture third in the 200 freestyle. Wright added a second place finish in the 500 free and was also part of the free relay.
Senior Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J./Madison) and first-year Brenna Nimkoff (Weston, Conn./Weston) placed first and second in the 1000 freestyle. Brennan touched the wall second in the 200 butterfly and Nimkoff swam to third in the 500 free.
Sophomore Lindsay Morton (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional) won the 200 butterfly and swam the third leg of the winning medley relay. Classmate Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) was the anchor for the medley relay, claiming a win in the 200 backstroke and placing second in the 50 free.
First-year Devon Korhammer (Easton, Pa./Moravian Academy) led-off the medley relay and also placed fourth in the 200 backstroke.
The Red Devils improve to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial Conference. They are home again next weekend, hosting Franklin & Marshall on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
