(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team tallied three goals in the second half, turning back visiting Bryn Mawr College, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Miller Memorial Field.
First-year Briona Davis (Franklin Park, N.J./Franklin Park) sandwiched a pair of goals around a scoring strike from sophomore Alexandra Goldrich (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Regional) as the Red Devils netted all three goals in a span of 14 minutes.
Davis wove her way through the Bryn Mawr defense to put Dickinson on the board in the 54th minute, scoring her first collegiate goal, unassisted.
Goldrich followed up, finishing an assist from senior defender Hannah Matlack (Needham, Mass./Noble & Greenough), with 26:51 remaining in the game.
Davis closed things out, just under five minutes later, scoring her second of the game with an assist from senior Jenna Lamb (Fairfax, Va./Robinson Secondary) at the 22:05 mark.
The Red Devils were dominant on both ends of the field, holding a 39-4 shot advantage and a 9-3 edge in corners. Senior Charlotte Armour (New Haven, Conn./Choate-Rosemary Hall) made a pair of saves before Amanda Masterson (Essex, N.J./West Essex) and Mary Katherine Brosnan (Old Tappan, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan) came on to assist in the shutout.
Aviva Kosansky had a busy afternoon, making 14 saves for the Owls. Bryn Mawr slips to 2-10 overall and 0-5 in the Centennial Conference.
The Red Devils improve to 6-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play. Dickinson returns home to face Gettysburg College on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 pm.
