(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team turned in a strong performance on Friday night, posting a 135-62 win over visiting Bryn Mawr College.
Senior Caitlin Klockner (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional) led the way with a triple-win night. She claimed both distance events, winning the 1000 yard freestyle in 11:32.05 and touching the wall first in the 500 with a time of 5:36.41. She claimed her third win with the 200 free relay.
First-year Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) captured two events on the night. She won the 100 individual medley with a mark of 1:04.98 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:32.31. Classmate Amanda Custer (Albuquerque, N.M./Sandia Prep) earned a pair of wins with medley and free relays, and placed second in the 100 butterfly with a time 2:24.59.
First-year Sammy Boswell (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) anchored the winning medley relay, joined the winning free relay and placed third in the 100 individual medley (1:08.43). Katie Schmidt (Orono, Minn./Breck School) swam the lead leg of the winning medley relay to start off the night. She added a second place showing in the 200 freestyle (2:03.80) and took third in the 100 free with a time of 58.53.
Sophomore Devon Korhammer (Easton, Pa./Moravian Academy) gave the Devils a sweep in the 100 individual medley, placing second with a time of 1:07.11. She was second in the 200 backstroke and anchored the winning free relay.
Gaby Fleming (Chester, Va./Maggie Walker) swam to second in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, and placed second in the medley relay. Shannon Bonner (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) won the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.75.
The Red Devils had strong showings in both distance events. Junior Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) was second in the 1000 and placed third in the 200 breaststroke. Classmate Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) placed third in the 500, adding another third in the 50 free and a win with the medley relay.
First-year Tess Kulikowski (McLean, Va./Sidwell Friends) touched the wall second in the 500, coming in at 5:49.25.
The Red Devils improve to 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They are in action again tomorrow afternoon, hosting the University of Scranton at 1:00 pm.
