(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's soccer team scored a pair of second half goals to open the 2015 season with a 2-0 victory over visiting Catholic University, under the lights at Miller Memorial Field.

Senior Alfred Hylton-Dei (Geneva, Switzerland/Mercersburg Academy, Pa.) put the Red Devils on the board, ripping the ball into the corner of the net, off a nicely played assist from senior Jonathan Harper (Westwood, Mass./Westwood) in the 58^th minute.

The Red Devils added an insurance goal moments later as sophomore Lucas Masiado (Ambler, Pa./Saucon Valley) slipped a corner into the net with a beautiful bender inside the far post.

The majority of the match was a back and forth battle in the midfield with solid and timely plays from both defensive units. The Red Devils cleared a ball off the line in the first half and remained strong in front of junior goaltender Jeremy Palcan (Park Ridge, Ill./St. Ignatius College Prep), who finished with five saves on the night.

The Red Devils held a 7-2 shot advantage in the first half and held an 8-7 edge in the second. Steven Lukas made seven saves in the nets for Catholic.

Dickinson heads to Elizabethtown College on Saturday for the first round of the Brothers Pizza Blue Jay/Red Devil Classic. Opening kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm. The Red Devils return home for the second round, hosting Lebanon Valley College at 4:00 pm.
