Box Score (Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team held a 2-1 lead at halftime and tallied three second-half goals to post a 5-1 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon at Miller Memorial Field.
The Shorewomen struck first, putting their lone goal in the board in the 17th minute of the match. Maribeth Harrington finished a double-assist from Olivia Sabatino and Lis Parks to a take a 1-0 lead.
The Red Devils tallied twice in the final eight minutes of the half as first-year Addy Zandi (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson) dished out a pair of assists. Zandi connected with sophomore Olivia Termini (Mountaintop, Pa./Crestwood) in the 38th minute and then assisted Samantha Knapp (Washington, D.C./CESJDS) with just 49 seconds to play in the half.
Sophomore Briona Davis (Franklin Park, N.J./Franklin) stretched the lead to 3-1 in the 60th minute, finishing a beautifully placed through ball from Termini, before Zandi found the net herself with just over 11 minutes to play in the match.
The Red Devils would strike one more time as first-year Emma Moore (Davidsonville, Md./St. Mary's) netted the first goal of her collegiate career to close out the scoring with 2:46 left to play.
Dickinson scored in 50 percent shooting, putting up 10 shots while allowing just six from Washington. The Red Devils held a 6-1 advantage in corners as well.
Sophomore Courtney Colbert made four saves for Washington as they fall to 5-6-1 overall and 0-5-0 in the Centennial Conference.
Junior Amanda Masterson (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex) earned the win in the nets for Dickinson as they improve to 6-4-4 overall and 1-3-2 in conference play.
The Red Devils are on the road on Wednesday, traveling to Johns Hopkins University for a 7:00 pm kick-off.
