Box Score (Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's volleyball team had contributions from all over the court, posting a 3-1 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils jumped out to a 2-0 lead, winning the first two sets by identical scores of 25-20. The Shorewomen answered in the third, forcing a fourth set with a 25-21 decision.
Dickinson had a strong start in the fourth set and finished off the match with another 25-20 win.
Junior Norma Jean Park (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) led the attack with 16 kills while classmate Erin Bongo (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) reached double-figures as well with 14. Bongo tallied 16 digs on the day as well.
Senior Arielle Misrok (Ardsley, N.Y./Ardsley) led the defensive effort with a match-high 32 digs to move into third on the all-time list with 1,251 in her career. She added three service aces and a pair of assists.
Senior Lauren Ahern (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) and first-year Jacqueline Banker (Rockaway Park, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) each recorded 11 digs and served up three aces. Ahern was just shy of double-digits with nine kills on the afternoon.
Lauren Beecher (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) made some outstanding plays at the net, finishing with eight kills. Alex Berezan (Surrey, B.C./Earl Marriott Secondary) dished out 28 assists while Leah Guzick (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) handed out 17.
The Red Devils improve to 10-10 overall and 3-4 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Johns Hopkins University for a 7:00 pm start on Wednesday night.
