Box Score (Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team traded goals throughout the match with visiting Ursinus and came out on top with a 3-2 victory on Senior Day at Miller Memorial Field. The Red Devils honored their four seniors, Carolina Sguerra (Scarsdale, N.Y./Edgemont), McKenzie Dean (Wilton, Conn./Wilton), Jillian Marini (Redding, Conn./Berks Catholic) and Gabriella Tomasini (Garden City Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park), before the match.
Sophomore Olivia Termini (Mountaintop, Pa./Crestwood) put the Devils on the board just 25 seconds into the match with her 11th goal of the season.
The Bears answered at the other end of the first half as Cailey Sanchez finished an assist from Erin Farrell 4:26 on the clock.
The teams traded goals in a span just over a minute as first-year Sienna Zittle (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) scored off an assist from classmate Elizabeth Krause (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) with 38:36 remaining in the match.
Ursinus countered with the equalizer at the 37:03 mark on an unassisted tally from Jeannie Jasinski.
Krause would net the game-winner, scoring unassisted with just over 15 minutes to play in regulation.
Sophomore goalkeeper Mary Katherine Brosnan (Old Tappan, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan) turned away a pair of shots down the stretch to secure the win for the Red Devils. She finished with eight saves on the day.
Courtney Sullivan made 10 saves for the Bears as each team tallied 18 shots. Ursinus held the advantage in corners, 6-3, as they slip to 5-8-1 overall and 3-5 in the Centennial Conference.
The Red Devils improve to 7-5-4 overall and 2-4-2 in conference play. They are off until next Saturday when they travel to Franklin & Marshall for a 1:00 pm start.
