Box Score (Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback to unbeaten McDaniel College on Wednesday afternoon at Miller Memorial Field.
The Green Terror struck once in the first half, capitalizing on a corner as Christina Wroblewski collected a loose ball and found the corner of the net through a crowd of people in the 38th minute.
The Red Devils had some quality chances to net the equalizer but the shots went just wide of the goal.
Nicole Hill played a role two more McDaniel goals in the second half. She collected a rebound from her own free kick and poked the ball in the net with just over 20 minutes remaining.
Hill tacked on an assist as she served a great lead pass to Katie Kirschenmann, who was ahead of the pack, going one-on-one to net the final goal of the game.
The Green Terror held a 20-9 advantage in shots with a 9-3 edge in the second half. The visitors had six corners with the Red Devils forcing five on the afternoon.
Sarah McDonald made five saves for McDaniel as they improve to 10-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Centennial Conference.
Junior Amanda Masterson (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex) turned in a solid performance in the Dickinson nets, making eight saves.
The Red Devils slip to 4-4-3 overall and 0-3-1 in the conference. They travel to Mt. St. Vincent College on Saturday afternoon for a 3:00 pm start.
