Box Score (Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's soccer team had a strong start in Centennial Conference play, going all the way through double-overtime to post a 1-1 draw #12-ranked Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon at Miller Memorial Field.
The Red Devils put a goal on the board first as junior Elizabeth Krause (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) put a shot in the back of the night in the 19th minute.
The lead held until the 72nd minute when Garnet would tally the equalizer, off the foot of Sophia Stills.
Swarthmore held the advantage in shots, 20-7, but senior goaltender Mary Katherine Brosnan (Old Tappan, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan) turned away eight attempts to keep the Red Devils level.
Amy Shmoys made four saves for the Garnet as they move to 4-0-1 and 0-0-1 on the season.
The Red Devils stand at 4-1-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the conference. Dickinson is off this week and is home again on Saturday, hosting Muhlenberg College at 2:00 pm.
