Box Score (Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's volleyball team improved to 4-1 on the season, posting a 3-1 victory over Alvernia University in Saturday's home opener at the Kline Center.
The Red Devils had a strong start, winning the opening set, 25-12. The Golden Wolves came back to take the second, 24-22, before Dickinson closed out the match with scores of 25-14 and 25-17.
Junior setter Kristin Allgaier (Reston, Va./South Lakes) led the way with 32 assists, adding a trio of blocks and 15 digs.
Emma Lange (Jupiter, Fla./Benjamin) led the attack with nine kills while Jenna Schumann (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Germantown Academy) and Hanna Riley (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) each tallied eight. Lange added a pair of aces, seven digs and three blocks.
Senior Jacqueline Banker (Rockaway Park, N.Y./Archbishop Malloy) tallied a team-high 11 digs while Tatiana Lopez (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Puertorriqueno de Ninas) and Elise Butler (Chester Springs, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) each added 10. Butler recorded six kills while Lopez added six assists.
Kylie Albertsen (Woodstock, Md./Marriots Ridge) and Jamie Singer (Livingston, N.J./Golda Och) combined for 11 kills and four blocks as well.
The Red Devils are on the road on Tuesday night, traveling to Susquehanna University for a 7:00 pm start.
