Box Score

(Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson men's basketball team stormed out quickly and did not look back, rolling to a 76-56 win at McDaniel College on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils had a strong start, jumping out to an 11-2 start and forcing a pair of early timeouts by the host Green Terror.

Senior Bryce Allen (Albany, N.Y./The Hill School) led the way with five quick points to open the game.

The Red Devils continued to roll, forcing another McDaniel timeout at the 12:28 mark, stretching the lead to 18-5 as Ryan Robinson (Vienna, Va./George Marshall) knocked down a pair of three-pointers.

Dan Conlan (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) hit a three to stretch the margin back to 12 with eight minutes to play in the half.

Robinson broke free and finished with a dunk off a great outlet pass from Allen to give the Red Devils a 38-17 advantage. Dickinson would lead by as many as 25 and went into the break, up 42-19.

Allen finished the half with 12 points while Robinson added 11 and Travis Dobbins (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) chipped in with eight.

Robinson hit a pair of free throws for the only points in the opening three minutes of the second half.

McDaniel put together some strong possessions to try and cut into the lead but Conlan would bury a three-pointer on a kick-out from Ryan Devine (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) to make the score 49-23, with 14 minutes on the clock.

The Green Terror continued to chip away at the lead, but the Red Devils would keep answering with three-pointers to keep the advantage.

Devine knocked down back-to-back triples to make the score 62-39, with just over eight minutes to play.

The Red Devils continued to roll down the stretch, holding a comfortable lead as they sweep the season series from the Green Terror.

Robinson had a great night shooting, hitting 5-of-7 from the field, 6-of-8 from the line and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc for a game-high 19 points, adding seven rebounds and two blocked shots.

Allen was right there with 18 points on the night, hitting 5-of-6 from the field, going 6-for-6 from the stripe and 2-for-2 from three-point land. He tallied six rebounds, five assists and seven steals as well.

Onye Okoro (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) had nine points and six rebounds while Conlan and Dobbins each scored nine as well. Dobbins dished out five assists while Conlan hit 3-of-5 three-pointers. Chris Bates (Ellicott City, Md./Boys' Latin) pulled down five rebounds and added four points.
