Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. – Meg Tate scored a second-half brace to help the No. 19 Dickinson College women's soccer team claim a come from behind 2-1 win over Haverford College in the Centennial Conference opener for both sides.
It took just 53-seconds before Tate had a go at goal, but it missed wide right. Jessica Kiefer and Tate each sent a shot high in the opening 20 minutes. Haverford would strike first at 31:31 when a corner kick sent in by Celia Page bounced around off a few Red Devil players and went by Sophia Kavulich for the 1-0 edge. Hannah Friedrich finally was called into action a few minutes later as she shutdown Kiefer to send the match to the half 1-0.
The second-half was played primarily in the midfield as it took 23-minutes before Isabela Jesse fired a shot off the mark. 37-seconds after that the Fords got caught trying to play out of their defensive end as Tate poached a pass from a defender and rifled a shot by Friedrich to knot the score. There would only be one more shot in the match and it ended up being the game-winner with 6:11 to play as Lexie Greene provided service to Tate in the box for the finish and the win.
