Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's basketball team had four players reach double-digits, including three starters as the Red and Black staved off a furious late rally from the visiting Washington College Shoremen to win 70-67 on Monday night at the Kline Center. The win for the Devils was their third straight and pulled them to .500 (5-5) in Centennial Conference action.
Washington took an early 5-2 lead with buckets coming from Jason Zielinski and Kedrick Frink. Chris Bates and Drew Haueisen each netted four during a 10-0 run to give DC the 12-5 edge with five minutes gone. The Shoremen chipped away at the deficit using a 7-4 push ending on a four-point play from Sam Corrao to pull within 14-12. Layups by Dilyn Becker and Corrao brought the visitors all the way back to go ahead 18-16. Anthony Goeb tallied four points all at the charity line and Brandon Wiercinski delivered from long range to give DC the lead back at 25-20 with 6:21 left. Dickinson continued to stay in front thanks to seven points in a row by Haueisen to make it 32-27. Will Colleran would hit a shot from the mid-range and Andrew Gostovich beat the horn from deep to give the Red Devils a 37-31 lead at half.
Ryan Robinson, Bates, and Goeb helped DC to open up a double-digit lead 44-33 with just 2:25 gone. Washington battled back as Corrao buried a shot from deep, while Tray Wright and Precieux Tshibangu netted jumpers to bring the margin within 44-43 at the five-minute mark. Goeb accounted for the next eight Dickinson points to help stretch the lead back to 52-46. The Shoremen got triples from Nick Romeo and Zielinski during a 9-3 push to draw even at 55-55 with eight minutes to play. A 5-2 run by Bates got the Red and Black back ahead 60-57. However, Zielinski and Wright kept the pressure up and tied the score at 61 at the 16:18 mark. Five consecutive points from Wiercinski opened up a five-point cushion, but a Zielinski trey pulled the guests within 66-64. Wiercinski locked up the game by going 4-4 at the foul line down the stretch to secure the 70-67 win.

Dickinson (6-9, 5-5 Centennial) heads to Allentown on Wednesday night to take on Muhlenberg College at 8 p.m. The Mules (7-12, 4-8 Centennial) are coming off an 83-52 win on Monday night at McDaniel.

The Red and Black came up on the short end of a 61-52 decision in Carlisle back on January 13th. The Devils had three players in double-figures that night led by 15 from Robinson, while Haueisen (14) and Goeb (11) chipped in as well.
